RNA sequencing of multi-tissue samples from obese and lean Ossabaw pigs

The experiment was designed to investigate the effects of a medium-cholesterol, high-fat, high-fructose diet over a relatively short period in the Ossabaw pig, a well-established model for studying obesity and metabolic syndrome. Whole transcriptomic changes were investigated in visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue, liver and heart, from control and obese pigs, using RNA sequencing.

本实验旨在探究短期饲喂中等胆固醇、高脂、高果糖饮食对奥萨巴马猪（Ossabaw pig）的影响，该猪是研究肥胖与代谢综合征的成熟动物模型。本研究采用RNA测序（RNA sequencing）技术，对对照组与肥胖组猪的内脏脂肪组织、皮下脂肪组织、肝脏及心脏中的全转录组变化进行了分析。
