Given that class I histone deacetylases are involved in cardiac homeostasis, we postulated that Hey2 recruits Hdac1, an abundantly expressed Hdac in adult hearts, to mediate the transcriptional repression of energy gene expression. To test the idea, we performed Hdac1 CUT&Tag-seq and ATAC-seq in Adv-Hey2-transduced and siRNA-Hey2 knockdown NRVMs.
