Reference Land Cover in Salonga 2016-2018 (vector) - version 1, January 2018

This metadata refers to the Land Cover vector data generated over Salonga (Africa) for 2016 in the framework of the Copernicus Global Land Hot Spot Mapping (C-GL-HSM) contract under the coordination of JRC.
This area of interest is either mapped with the generic 8 classes dichotomus legend (CAF_07_lc_a) or the detailed modular legend (CAF_07_lc_b).

The mapped area of interest (AOI) represents a Key Landscape for Conservation area (KLC). The KLC has a total size of 6,5 million ha (65,000 km²) and is situated at the heart of the central basin of the Congo River in Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Salonga National Park (also UNESCO World heritage site) within the KLC has been established in 1984 and is divided into a northern and a southern sector of approximately equal size, separated by an unprotected space approximately 50 km wide.

本元数据对应2016年在JRC协调下，依托《哥白尼全球陆地热点制图（Copernicus Global Land Hot Spot Mapping, C-GL-HSM）》合同，为非洲萨隆加（Salonga）区域生成的土地覆盖矢量数据。
该感兴趣区域可采用通用8类二分法图例（CAF_07_lc_a）或详细模块化图例（CAF_07_lc_b）完成制图。
该制图感兴趣区域（Area of Interest, AOI）属于保护关键景观区（Key Landscape for Conservation, KLC）。该保护关键景观区总面积达650万公顷（65000平方千米），坐落于刚果民主共和国境内刚果河中部盆地的核心区域。该保护关键景观区内的萨隆加国家公园（同时为联合国教科文组织世界遗产地）于1984年设立，被一条宽约50千米的非保护地带分隔为面积大致相当的南北两个片区。
