Brain aging is characterized by a progressive loss of cellular and molecular function that are responsible for cognitive decline, and increased susceptibility to neurodegenerative disorders. Administering young mice plasma (YMP) to aged mice reverses cognitive decline and rejuvenates the brain by inhibiting neuroinflammation, although the exact mechanism is still unknown.Here, we show that a crucial involvement of microglia in the therapeutic effects of YMP.
大脑衰老的典型特征为:与认知衰退直接相关的细胞与分子功能进行性退化,同时机体对神经退行性疾病的易感性显著升高。向老年小鼠输注年轻小鼠血浆(Young Mice Plasma, YMP),可通过抑制神经炎症逆转认知衰退并实现大脑年轻化,但其具体作用机制目前仍不明确。本研究发现,小胶质细胞在年轻小鼠血浆的治疗效应中发挥关键作用。
