1) Infection of 3T3 fibroblasts in vitro was determined with a well-established intracellular infection assay [7]. These results were compared to the replication of T. cruzi measured in 3T3 cells utilising a combination of Hoechst and EdU. For (2), the maximum activity demonstrated with POSA (Emax) against T. cruzi was 75%, therefore the IC50 value was based on a sub-optimal effect. 3) Significance pmax values. NR = not replicating. Cmpd = compound. CF = clemastine fumarate, POSA = posaconazole, NFX = nifurtimox, BZ = benznidazole.
