The presented package contains 12 ampoules containing a cardiac medicine called Digalen, produced around 1900 in the laboratory at Edward Gessner's pharmacy (1853–1907) in Warsaw. The medicine contained glycosides derived from foxglove (Digitalis purpurea). It bears the following inscriptions in Russian and in Polish: "E. Gessner's Pharmacy in Warsaw" on the package, with the name and dose of the medicine.
