H. coronarium is a popular ornamental plant in tropical and subtropical regions for its flowers possessing intense and inviting fragrance and wonderful shape. However, there is no genomic information available to this species. Our goal is to obtain a useful transcriptome for gene discovery and functional genomics studies.
