Development and validation of MiGut

Models of the human gut microbiota are valuable tools for investigating xenobiotics-microbiota interactions. However, there are limitations to current models. We have developed MiGut, a high-throughput colonic model system that mirrors the different physiochemical conditions of the different regions of the human colon. Our MiGut system can recapture the different microbial profiles of different input faecal slurries.

人类肠道菌群模型是探究外源性化合物（xenobiotics）与菌群相互作用的宝贵工具。然而当前模型仍存在一定局限性。本研究开发了MiGut——一款可模拟人类结肠不同区域理化环境的高通量结肠模型系统。该MiGut系统能够复现不同输入粪便悬液所对应的差异化菌群谱。
