Kangaroo Care Waitakere Hospital Clinical Audit (July 2019)

Despite the many documented benefits of skin-to-skin contact for preterm infants and their parents, the uptake is still described as slow globally. The purpose therefore was to measure the amount of skin-to-skin contact taking place on Waitakere hospital Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) to ascertain a baseline measure. Nurses' knowledge, perceptions and experiences of skin-to-skin on the unit was also explored to more fully understand what some of the barriers and enablers were to skin-to-skin contact specifically on Waitakere hospital SCBU.

尽管已有大量文献证实肌肤接触对早产儿及其父母的诸多益处，但全球范围内该实践的推广仍被认为进展缓慢。因此本研究旨在测量怀塔克雷医院特殊护理婴儿病房（Special Care Baby Unit，SCBU）内实际开展的肌肤接触情况，以建立基线测量标准。同时，本研究还将探究该病房内护理人员对肌肤接触的认知、态度与实践经验，以更全面地厘清怀塔克雷医院特殊护理婴儿病房开展肌肤接触的各类阻碍与促进因素。
