Trigona ventralis hoozana, also called bee flies in Taiwan. They were firstly identified in the Shei-Pa National Park and most of them were located at high altitude mountain around 700-2800 m height.

腹面无刺蜂台湾亚种（Trigona ventralis hoozana）在台湾地区俗称蜂虻。该物种于雪霸国家公园首次被发现，其绝大多数个体分布于海拔700米至2800米的高海拔山地。
