The current study try to analyze by massive sequencing the presence of material fungal in brain from 34 ELA and 22 Parkinson's disease patients. The samples were isolated from different area of the brain: motor cortex, medulla, spinal cord, mesencephalon, hypothalamus, callosal body, candate and lenticular nuclei and pons. Universal primers were used to amplify the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions ITS1 and/or ITS2 of fungal ribosomal DNA.

本研究旨在通过大规模测序(massive sequencing)分析34名ELA患者与22名帕金森病(Parkinson's disease)患者的脑组织中真菌物质的存在情况。所有样本均取自大脑的不同区域:运动皮层、延髓、脊髓、中脑、下丘脑、胼胝体、尾状核、豆状核以及脑桥。本研究使用通用引物扩增真菌核糖体DNA的内部转录间隔区(internal transcribed spacer,ITS)ITS1及/或ITS2区域。
