With this study we aimed to understand the more in-depth molecular regulation mechanism underlying taproot growth and sucrose accumulation. Therefore, we performed comparative transcriptome analyses of the high yield cultivar SD13829 (E-type; E) and the high sucrose content cultivar BS02 (Z-type; Z) at five developmental stages.
