Mtb barcoding helps quantify the effect of antibiotic treatment on reinfection establishment and dissemination in Non-human primates

Prior infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) protects against reinfection. Here, we used barcoded Mtb Erdman libraries to quantify the effect of a standard 4-drug antibiotic treatment prior to re-infection on bacterial establishment and dissemination in non-human primates (Macaca fascicularis).

结核分枝杆菌（Mycobacterium tuberculosis，Mtb）既往感染可对再次感染起到保护作用。本研究借助带条形码标记的结核分枝杆菌Erdman菌株文库，量化了再感染前实施标准四联抗生素治疗对非人灵长类（食蟹猴，Macaca fascicularis）体内细菌定植与播散的影响。
