Per capita consumption of potato products in Norway 1959-2015, by type

This statistic displays the per capita consumption of potato-based products in Norway in selected years from 1959 to 2015, by product type. During the survey period, the per capita consumption of plain potatoes as well as potato products in general decreased. In 2015, an average Norwegian consumed 20 kilograms of plain potatoes. Meanwhile, the consumption of potato chips remained at nearly a half lower, amounting to 12 kilograms per person. The consumption of French fries increased rapidly from 1989 to 1999 but remained stagnated from then on.
