我们报道,U251胶质母细胞瘤肿瘤球(U251 glioblastoma tumor spheres)呈现低水平的胞质叶酸循环(cytosolic folate cycle),并伴随一条重编程的线粒体叶酸循环(reprogrammed mitochondrial folate cycle);该重编程通路的代谢导向为将甲酰基(formyl group)氧化为二氧化碳(CO₂),同时生成四氢叶酸(TetrahydroFolate)并释放还原型烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸磷酸(NADPH),而非合成甲酸(formate)。本研究通过RNA测序(RNA-Seq)对比了源自U251胶质母细胞瘤细胞系(glioblastoma cell line)的肿瘤球与贴壁单层细胞(adherent monolayer cells)的转录组差异。
