Low back pain, muscle flexibility and relationship with the level of physical activity of rural workers

ABSTRACT The aim was to investigate low back pain, muscle flexibility and relationship with the Level of Physical Activity (LPA) of rural workers. It is a cross-sectional survey with 184 rural workers, 44.24 (± 10.83) years. We evaluated the LPA by Ipaq; pain and lumbar dysfunction by Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Oswestry disability index (ODI); evaluation of thoracolumbar flexibility (TF) and hamstrings (PA and SLR). The data were analysed by Kruskal Wallis test followed by Mann-Whitney test and Spearman correlation. There was a negative correlation between the VAS with the TF, PA and SLR. The variation of pain by VAS was high and sedentary individuals have less flexibility of hamstring.

本研究旨在探讨乡村劳动者的腰背痛（low back pain）、肌肉柔韧性状况及其与身体活动水平（Level of Physical Activity，LPA）的相关性。本研究为横断面调查，共纳入184名乡村劳动者，年龄为44.24±10.83岁。采用国际体力活动问卷（International Physical Activity Questionnaire，IPAQ）评估受试者的身体活动水平；采用视觉模拟评分法（Visual Analog Scale，VAS）与奥斯韦斯特里功能障碍指数（Oswestry Disability Index，ODI）评估腰背痛与腰椎功能障碍情况；通过胸腰椎柔韧性（thoracolumbar flexibility，TF）、腘绳肌相关指标（PA）及直腿抬高试验（Straight Leg Raise，SLR）完成肌肉柔韧性评估。数据采用克鲁斯卡尔-沃利斯检验（Kruskal-Wallis test）、后续曼-惠特尼检验（Mann-Whitney test）及斯皮尔曼相关分析进行统计学处理。结果显示，腰背痛视觉模拟评分（VAS）与胸腰椎柔韧性、腘绳肌相关指标及直腿抬高试验结果均呈负相关。基于VAS评分的疼痛变异程度较高，且久坐人群的腘绳肌柔韧性更差。
