The intestinal microbiota of channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) fed an iron sulphate-supplemented diet

Juvenile channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) were fed either a control or diet supplemented with iron sulphate (final concentration 1000 mg Fe/kg diet). Digesta was collected after a 63-day feeding trial for DNA extraction. Amplification of the V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was performed, followed by sequencing on an Illumina MiSeq (2x300).

幼年斑点叉尾鮰（Ictalurus punctatus）被分为两组，分别饲喂基础对照日粮与添加硫酸亚铁的日粮（硫酸亚铁终浓度为1000 mg Fe/kg日粮）。经过63天的饲喂试验后收集消化物，用于DNA提取。对16S核糖体RNA基因（16S rRNA gene）的V4区进行扩增，随后在Illumina MiSeq测序平台上完成2×300 bp双端测序。
