Dataset for "Whistler wave propagation in a dipole magnetic field: two-dimensional gcPIC simulations"

The dataset is the result of two-dimensional (2-D) particle-in-cell(PIC) simulations of whistler waves produced by the gcPIC code. Detailed data include: magnetic fields, electric fields, current densities, cold and hot electron densities, and locations and velocities of hot electrons. The data can be read using Fortran and IDL. The dataset can be used to study the propagation of a whistler wave in a dipole magnetic field.
