Process-based simulation of long-term dissolved inorganic carbon fluxes in a karst catchment, Southwest China

This dataset contains input and output files for the simulation of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) dynamics in the Houzhai catchment, a typical karst site located in Guizhou Province, Southwest China. Over the past three decades, the region has experienced notable environmental changes, including climate warming, reduced precipitation, and forest recovery (greening). The simulation aims to investigate how and to what extent climate change and forest recovery have influenced the long-term declining trends of DIC production and export rates at the catchment scale. The simulations were conducted using the open-source reactive transport model BioRT-Flux-PIHM, which couples biogeochemical reactions with hydrological processes.
