Projections of climate types (Köppen-Geiger classification)

The dataset is the result of a Köppen-Geiger classification of climate types on high-resolution climate projections across France. The Köppen–Geiger classification is based on mean annual or monthly air temperature and precipitation amounts for 30-year periods from 1970-1999 to 2070-2099. The classification was carried out on 84 bias-corrected climate projections at a resolution of 8 km, including 22, 22, and 40 projections for RCP 2.6, 4.5 and 8.5, respectively. A more complete description of the dataset as well as an analysis of the evolution of future climate types is presented in Strohmenger et al. (2024). Please have a look at the README.txt file for information about the files format and about the data fields. Please note that the following climate projections were subsequently discarded from the Explore2-2022 dataset, for all RCPs (if relevant) and both downscaling methods: IPSL-CM5A-MR_WRF381P CNRM-CM5-LR_RACMO22E EC-EARTH_HIRHAM5 It is therefore recommended to not consider them for any further analysis.

本数据集是基于法国境内高分辨率气候预估结果完成的柯本-盖格（Köppen-Geiger）气候分类成果。柯本-盖格分类法以1970-1999至2070-2099时段内的30年气候基准期的年平均或月平均气温与降水量为分类依据。本次分类共使用84份经过偏差校正的8公里分辨率气候预估数据，其中RCP 2.6、4.5和8.5情景下的预估数据分别为22份、22份与40份。关于本数据集的完整说明以及未来气候类型演变的分析研究，请参见Strohmenger等人（2024）的相关成果。有关文件格式与数据字段的详细信息，请查阅README.txt文件。请注意，针对所有RCP情景（如适用）及两种降尺度方法，以下气候预估模型已从Explore2-2022数据集中移除：IPSL-CM5A-MR_WRF381P、CNRM-CM5-LR_RACMO22E与EC-EARTH_HIRHAM5。因此建议后续开展相关分析时，请勿纳入上述模型数据。
