Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae is the causative agent of swine pleuropneumonia. The disease is highly contagious, and associated with pigs of all ages, resulting in severe economic losses to the industry. The 15 serotypes of this bacterium display different global distribution and virulence. Here we announce six genome sequences of A. pleuropneumoniae clinical isolates from serotype 8. Despite being reported in several swine producing countries, these are the first genomes of this serotype to be available in the public databases. The information provided will be the basis for further studies addressing genetic features of the isolates for the search of novel molecular markers and vaccine candidates.

胸膜肺炎放线杆菌（Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae）是猪胸膜肺炎的病原菌。该疾病具有高度传染性，可感染各年龄段生猪，给养猪产业造成严重经济损失。该菌的15个血清型在全球分布及毒力特征上存在显著差异。本研究公布了6株8型血清型胸膜肺炎放线杆菌临床分离株的基因组序列。尽管多个养猪大国均有该血清型的相关报道，但此次公布的序列为公共数据库中首次公开的该血清型菌株基因组资源。本研究提供的数据将为后续解析该类分离株的遗传特征、筛选新型分子标记及候选疫苗奠定重要基础。
