This dataset consists of Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite precipitation data, with its temporal coverage in 2003. TRMM satellite data has been widely and effectively applied in multiple fields including tropical precipitation measurement, improvement of precipitation forecast accuracy, rainstorm research, data assimilation for numerical forecast models, tropical sea surface temperature retrieval, and tropical cyclone observation. This dataset can be fully utilized to enhance the accuracy of weather and climate forecasts, while deepening the understanding of precipitation characteristics in tropical and subtropical regions.
