BAG Barcelona

BAG Barcelona has a long tradition of accessing the ESRF. It is constituted by 10 groups that belong to the Institute of Molecular Biology Barcelona from the Spanish Research Council (IBMB-CSIC), the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB), and the Research Institute from Hospital Santa Creu i Sant Pau (HSCSP-IR). The main subjects of research are protein/DBA complexes, molecular machines, compounds of viruses, molecular mechanisms of proteases, and other enzymes. Recently, a new group (E. Marcos) interested in de-novo designed protein scaffolds has joined the BAG. Our Scientific results strongly rely on the high-quality data and excellent performance and support of ESRF macromolecular crystallography beamlines.

巴塞罗那BAG在使用欧洲同步辐射装置（ESRF）方面拥有悠久传统。该联盟由10个研究小组组成，分别隶属于西班牙国家研究委员会巴塞罗那分子生物学研究所（IBMB-CSIC）、生物医学研究所（IRB）以及圣十字圣保罗医院研究所（HSCSP-IR）。其主要研究方向包括蛋白质/DNA复合物、分子机器、病毒复合物、蛋白酶及其他酶的分子机制。近期，一个专注于从头设计蛋白质支架（de-novo designed protein scaffolds）的新小组（E. Marcos团队）加入了该联盟。我们的科研成果高度依赖于ESRF大分子晶体学光束线（macromolecular crystallography beamlines）提供的高质量数据、卓越性能及技术支持。
