16S rRNA-based gut microbiome data of children with obstructive sleep apnea from Taiwan

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a sleep disorder characterized by breathing interruptions during sleep. This dataset includes gut microbiome at baseline (B), 3-month (A3), and 12-month (A12) post-adenotonsillectomy in 55 children with OSA. This dataset contains key characteristics about the data described in the relationship between disease severity and gut microbiome alterations in children with obstructive sleep apnea undergoing adenotonsillectomy: a prospective observation study.

阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停（Obstructive Sleep Apnea, OSA）是一类以睡眠期间呼吸间断为特征的睡眠障碍。本数据集收录了55名阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停患儿在腺扁桃体切除术后的基线（B）、术后3个月（A3）及术后12个月（A12）三个时间点的肠道菌群数据。该数据集源自一项前瞻性观察研究，包含了针对接受腺扁桃体切除术的阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停患儿，其疾病严重程度与肠道菌群改变之间关联的关键数据特征。
