Parallelism in gene expression between foothill and alpine ecotypes in Arabidopsis arenosa

We investigated differences in gene expression between pairs of foothill and alpine populations across four mountain regions and tested whether foothill and alpine populations responded in a similar way to environmental changes. We raised Arabidopsis arenosa plants in growth chambers under different treatments that varied in temperature and irradiance. When plants were at the 14-leaf stage, we collected one leaf per plant for RNA-seq analysis (96 individuals sequenced).

本研究针对四个山地区域内的各山麓种群与高山种群配对组合，探究其基因表达差异，并验证山麓种群与高山种群对环境变化的响应模式是否一致。我们在生长箱中设置温度与光照辐照度各异的处理条件，栽培砂生拟南芥（Arabidopsis arenosa）植株。待植株长至14叶期时，我们从每株植株上采集一片叶片用于RNA测序（RNA-seq）分析，共完成96个个体的测序工作。
