Mapping, Political Economy, and Impacts of Media and Democracy Funding in the Global South

This project investigates how international aid, philanthropy, and technology companies fund media and democracy initiatives in the Global South. It examines funding flows, governance structures, power relations, and the implications for journalism, civil society, and public discourse.
All research materials, data, and outputs will be shared openly whenever ethically and legally feasible.
