Virus-prokaryote interactions in marine biofilms

The aim of this project is to identify viral and prokaryotic genome sequences from marine biofilm metagenomes. Then connections between identified viral and prokaryotic genomes were predicted to unveil potential interactions including metabolic complementation, prokaryotic antiviral defense, and viral counter defense.

本项目的研究目标为从海洋生物膜宏基因组（metagenomes）中鉴定病毒（viral）与原核生物（prokaryotic）基因组序列。随后，将对已鉴定的病毒与原核生物基因组之间的关联展开预测，以揭示潜在的相互作用，包括代谢互补（metabolic complementation）、原核生物抗病毒防御（prokaryotic antiviral defense）以及病毒反防御（viral counter defense）。
