Opinion regarding the achievement of the Paris Agreement goals in France 2020

Over 60 percent of French citizens do not believe that France will be able to meet the goals set by the Paris Agreements. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the main greenhouse gases. This gas, present in increasing quantities in the atmosphere, is responsible for global warming (its presence "traps" the heat reflected by the earth and results in an increase in temperature). The sources of CO2 emissions are mainly related to human activity (industrial activity, individual and goods transport, heating, deforestation, industrial animal husbandry, ...). In 2015, France signed the Paris Agreements and committed to reducing its CO2 emissions by 40 percent by 2030 compared to 1990 and by 75 percent by 2050. These commitments aim to limit global warming to two degrees Celsius.
