We investigated the reciprocal relationship between MHC variation, pathogen infection and gut microbial composition in a wild population of Artibeus jamaicensis sampled in the Panama Canal Region. Microbiome samples were published previously (BioProject PRJNA473909). Samples from wing punches were used to characterize the MHC class II exon II region using PCR followed by Illumina MiSeq sequencing. The samples include 26 replicates necessary for ACACIA pipeline and 5 negative PCR controls.

本研究以巴拿马运河区域采样的牙买加果蝠(Artibeus jamaicensis)野生种群为研究对象,探究主要组织相容性复合体(Major Histocompatibility Complex,MHC)变异、病原体感染与肠道微生物组组成之间的相互关联。相关微生物组样本此前已发表(BioProject编号:PRJNA473909)。本研究采用翼膜穿刺样本,通过聚合酶链式反应(Polymerase Chain Reaction,PCR)结合Illumina MiSeq测序技术,对MHC II类外显子2区域进行分型表征。本次数据集包含用于ACACIA分析流程所需的26份重复样本,以及5份PCR阴性对照样本。
