NRS-13873 | Catalogues of county maps and plans [Surveyor General]

These hand written volumes catalogue the crown plans number assigned to plans with in that County “Small Number” as they are lodged with the Surveyor General. Numbers assigned to County, providing an index in Plan (Catalogue) Number order, there is a volume per County maintained by the Lands District Office for that area. Each Volume details the Plan Number; details of the area covered, mostly Portion Number and Parish; and file number reference. Some additional notes for some entries include whether a plan is cancelled or amended. Most have no dates included.These registers were developed to ensure that plan numbers were not duplicated and to register plans sent to a Land District Office.Most volumes have been re-bound over time with limited titling being carried over. Some are still in original binding with the original titling on cover "Catalogue Book for the County of < >, District Survey Office at < >".The volumes are arranged alphabetically by County.
