Tree Data Set Fall 2016, Nearest Neighbor

This is the raw data that was recorded in the haverhill forest in the fall of 2016. We randomly began walking in a certain direction that we then called our transect. Along the transect, whenever we came across a tree, we deciphered the species of tree, measure the cbh (circumference at breast height) in cm. We then measured the distance to the closest neighboring tree and this trees cbh in cm. We then recorded the health of the tree found on the transect based on a scale between 0-2. Afterwards we calculated the dbh of both the tree found on the transect and it's neighboring tree. The dbh is the diameter of the tree taken at breast height.

本数据集为2016年秋季在哈弗希尔森林（Haverhill Forest）采集的原始野外调查数据。我们随机选定某一方向作为样带（transect），并沿该方向开展野外调查。沿样带行进期间，每发现一株树木，我们即鉴定其树种，并测量其胸高周长（circumference at breast height，CBH），单位为厘米。随后，我们测量该树木与其最近邻木之间的距离，并测定该邻木的胸高周长，单位为厘米。之后，我们依据0至2分的评分标准，记录样带内该树木的健康状况。后续我们分别计算样带树木及其邻木的胸高直径（diameter at breast height，DBH），胸高直径指树木在胸高位置测得的树干直径。
