This study aims to describe the microbiota of a freshwater reservoir using high throughput sequencing time series. The reservoir is called Rimov and is located in the Czech Republic. Water samples have been collected from epi- and hypolimnion of the reservoir since June 2015 and filtered through a series of polycarbonate filters. DNA was extracted from the 0.2 micron filters to obtain genomic DNA of the microbial community and sequencing.

本研究旨在通过高通量测序（High Throughput Sequencing）时间序列数据，表征一座淡水水库的微生物群（microbiota）。该水库名为里莫夫水库（Rimov），地处捷克共和国境内。自2015年6月起，研究人员从该水库的湖上层（epilimnion）与湖下层（hypolimnion）采集水样，并通过一系列聚碳酸酯滤膜完成过滤。随后从0.2微米孔径的滤膜中提取脱氧核糖核酸（Deoxyribonucleic Acid, DNA），以获取该微生物群落的基因组DNA并用于后续测序。
