Chromosome-level genome assembly of Dracocephalum rupestre

Dracocephalum rupestre Hance is China's traditional herbal medicine in the family Labiatae with numerous health benefits, including anti-inflammatory, antiviral and anti-tumor activities. However, the genus Dracocephalum has no reference genome currently, which restricts the research on the breeding, cultivation and exploration of medicinal properties in D.rupestre. Thus, we present the first high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of D.rupestre via the integration of PacBio HiFi and Hi-C technologies.

岩青兰（Dracocephalum rupestre Hance）是中国传统唇形科（Labiatae）药用植物，具备抗炎、抗病毒及抗肿瘤等多种健康益处。但目前青兰属（Dracocephalum）尚无参考基因组（reference genome），这限制了岩青兰在育种、栽培及药用特性挖掘领域的研究。为此，本研究通过整合PacBio HiFi与Hi-C技术，首次完成了岩青兰的高质量染色体级基因组组装。
