BACTERIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SURGICAL CENTER AIR OF THE SANTARÉM HOSPITAL - PA

These data report on nosocomial infections that are those acquired while the patient is still in the hospital setting. These infections can lead to consequences for the patient as they can be a major health problem considering the high cost of medication and hospitalizations over a longer period. Air is one of the exogenous pathways of microorganisms, those that remain suspended in the air for a long time. The objective of this research was to verify, through microbiological analysis, the bacteria present in the air while performing surgical procedures.

本数据集所记录的为医院获得性感染（nosocomial infection），即患者在住院期间所罹患的感染。此类感染会给患者带来诸多不良后果：因其会显著提升用药成本并延长住院周期，故属于较为严重的健康问题。空气是微生物的外源性传播途径之一，这类微生物可长时间悬浮于空气中。本研究旨在通过微生物学分析手段，对外科手术实施过程中空气中存在的细菌进行验证检测。
