This dataset contains supplemental tables S1 and S2 for the manuscript titled “Organic matter accretion, shallow subsidence, and river delta sustainability”, published in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Earth Surface (DOI: ). Table S1 contains data for 330 sediment cores collected in coastal Louisiana, including measurements of depth, loss-on-ignition, dry bulk density, and age, and calculations of effective stress, compaction ratio, and compaction rate. Table S2 contains the location (latitude and longitude) of each core.
