Common bacterial blight of bean is due to strains from either Xanthomonas phaseoli pv. phaseoli (Xpp) or Xanthomonas citri pv. fuscans (Xcf). This seed-borne disease is worldwide distributed and is responsible for serious economic damages to the bean production. This justifies that this bacterial pathogen is classified in quarantine lists in countries that are still disease-free. We provided genomes sequenced by single molecule real time (SMRT) sequencing for 17 Xpp and Xcf strains. Causal agents of common bacterial blight are phylogenetically diverse and these genomes will help to gain more informations on the determinants of host adaptation. In particular, SMRT sequencing will allow the analysis of complex genes containing internal repeats such as Transcription Activator-Like (TAL) effectors.

菜豆细菌性疫病的致病菌为菜豆黄单胞菌菜豆致病变种(Xanthomonas phaseoli pv. phaseoli, Xpp)或柑橘黄单胞菌褐色致病变种(Xanthomonas citri pv. fuscans, Xcf)的菌株。该种传病害在全球范围内广泛分布,对菜豆生产造成严重经济损失,因此在无该病的国家中,此类细菌性病原菌均被列入检疫名录。本数据集包含通过单分子实时测序(SMRT)获得的17株Xpp和Xcf菌株的基因组序列。菜豆细菌性疫病的致病菌具有丰富的系统发育多样性,这些基因组数据将有助于深入解析寄主适应性的决定因子。尤为关键的是,SMRT测序技术可用于分析包含内部重复序列的复杂基因,例如转录激活因子样(TAL)效应蛋白。
