Neonatal meningitis Escherichia coli (NMEC) is the second-leading cause of neonatal bacterial meningitis (NBM) worldwide. We report the genome sequence of a multi-drug resistant, NMEC serotype O75:H5:K1 strain mcjchv-1 (NMEC-O75), which resulted in the death of an infant. The O75 serogroup is rare among NMEC isolates.

新生儿脑膜炎大肠杆菌（Neonatal Meningitis Escherichia coli, NMEC）是全球范围内新生儿细菌性脑膜炎（Neonatal Bacterial Meningitis, NBM）的第二大致病原因。本研究报道了一株多重耐药的NMEC血清型O75:H5:K1菌株mcjchv-1（NMEC-O75）的全基因组序列，该菌株曾导致一名婴儿死亡。O75血清群在NMEC分离株中较为罕见。
