This dataset documents regional-level data on funding availability and actual expenditures for key enterprises' Natural Forest Protection Project (NFPP) across China in the 1999 National Forestry Statistics, including the following items: planned appropriated funds, total actually received funds, and funding realization rate (%) for overall funding; planned appropriated funds, actually received funds, and funding realization rate (%) for central bond funds; planned appropriated funds, actually received funds, and funding realization rate (%) for fiscal special funds; planned appropriated funds, actually received funds, and funding realization rate (%) for local matching funds; planned appropriated funds, actually received funds, and funding realization rate (%) for grain-for-grain funds; total actual expenditures, central bond funds, public welfare forest construction funds, seedling and sapling construction funds, fire prevention construction funds, commercial forest construction funds, fiscal special funds, forest management and protection fees, social pooled endowment insurance subsidies, policy-related social expenditure subsidies, bank loan fiscal interest subsidies, local matching funds, grain-for-grain funds, total carried-over funds from the previous year (including local bond funds and fiscal special funds among others). The 1999 National Forestry Statistics also cover data related to silviculture and forest industry, as well as personnel salaries and education data within the national forestry system.
