This data was collected in the grassland outside of Saywell Woodlot on September 23rd, 2015. <br><br>Using two square-meter quadrats, our lab group collected 25 plots of data by setting 2 plots one meter off both sides of a 50 meter transect line. We set each plot exactly 2 meters from the the previous plot along the transect with a total of 13 on the left side and 12 on the right. <br><br>In each plot, we recorded plant abundance by counting each single and multistem plant exluding grass. We also recorded the total number of different species in each plot by cross examining the plot from right to left, bottom to top. Afterwards, we approximated the total vegetation coverage as well as the total grass coverage. These were recorded by examining what percentage of the plot was covered by all vegetation and which percentage was covered by grass, respectively. <br><br>All data was recorded and combined on a master copy after the last plot was collected.
