Processed Multibeam Sonar Data (version 3) from the Ross Sea acquired during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0401 (2004)

This data set was acquired with a Kongsberg model EM120 multibeam sonar system during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0401 conducted in 2004 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Terry Wilson). These data files include Sidescan, Swath Bathymetry, Acoustic Backscatter data and were processed at sea using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, beginning with version 2.0. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Neotectonic Structure of Terror Rift, Western Ross Sea, and funding was provided by the U.S. National Science Foundation.

本数据集由康斯伯格（Kongsberg）EM120型多波束声呐系统采集自2004年开展的内森尼尔·B·帕尔默号科考航次NBP0401（首席科学家：特里·威尔逊（Terry Wilson）博士）。本次获取的数据涵盖侧扫数据（Sidescan）、条带测深数据（Swath Bathymetry）与声学背散射数据（Acoustic Backscatter），且已在科考航次现场借助开源MB-System多波束声呐处理软件完成数据处理。本数据集自2.0版本起已被纳入GMRT合成数据集（GMRT Synthesis）。本次数据采集工作隶属于"罗斯海西部恐怖裂谷新构造结构（Neotectonic Structure of Terror Rift, Western Ross Sea）"研究项目，并获得美国国家科学基金会（U.S. National Science Foundation）的经费支持。
