Comparison of next-generation sequencing methods for catfish bacterial microbiota profiling

Compared 3 different 16S rRNA sequencing protocols (two nanopore sequencing protocols targeting full length 16S rRNA gene and Illumina MiSeq on V4 region) for bacterial community profiling in a mock community, hybrid catfish samples (digesta, gill swab, skin swab) and water samples (pond water and holding tank).本研究针对细菌群落谱分析，对比了三种不同的16S rRNA测序（16S rRNA sequencing）方案：两种靶向全长16S rRNA基因的纳米孔测序（nanopore sequencing）方案，以及基于Illumina MiSeq平台、靶向16S rRNA基因V4区域的测序方案，所用研究样本包括模拟群落、杂交鲶鱼样本（消化内容物、鳃拭子、皮肤拭子）以及水样（池塘水与储水箱水）。
