Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Brockley Wood Quarry, Belstead, Suffolk, August to September 2022

This collection comprises site images, GIS data, and spreadsheet data from an archaeological evaluation at Brockley Wood Quarry, Belstead, Suffolk. The works were carried out by Cotswold Archaeology between August and September 2022. In addition to a Bronze Age palstave retrieved from a ditch, a number of features containing prehistoric (both Bronze Age and Iron Age) pottery were identified. Later activity was sparse and included medieval and post-medieval pits and ditches. More recent included kilns and a possible oven suggesting industrial activity within the area during the post-medieval and modern period.
