Vegetation - Ballona Wetlands [ds2966]

Under a grant from the California Coastal Conservancy, California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) created a fine-scale vegetation map of the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve. The mapping study area consists of approximately 600 acres of in Los Angeles County, California. The minimum mapping unit (MMU) is 0.25 acres on average, with slight deviation when appropriate. The floristic classification follows protocols compliant with the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) and National Vegetation Classification Standards (NVCS).
