Streptomyces sp. UYFA156 is a tall fescue seed endophyte selected from a large collection of bacterial endophytes for its notable plant growth promotion ability in its host, F. arundinacea cv. SFRO Don Tomas. Although isolated from seeds, it can penetrate healthy roots and colonize both roots and aerial tissue of fescue.
