Crude Birth Rate (CBR) is defined as the total number of live births in a given period divided by the total resident population during that period. This global crude birth rate dataset records the number of live births per 1,000 population for each country worldwide every five years from 1950 to 2010. It should be noted that data for China excludes the populations of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region.
