Testicular transcriptome analysis of the Asian and the African catfish

De novo assemblies of testicular transcriptomes of the Asian catfish, Clarias batrachus and the African catfish, C. gariepinus, were performed to identify genes/factors related to testis. A total of 1,68,071 and 1,26,232 assembled transcripts with average lengths of 607 bp and 865 bp, were obtained from C. batrachus and C. gariepinus testicular transcriptomes, respectively and were annotated using different databases.

本研究针对亚洲鲶鱼（Clarias batrachus）与非洲鲶鱼（C. gariepinus）的睾丸转录组开展从头组装，以鉴定与睾丸相关的基因及调控因子。分别从两种鲶鱼的睾丸转录组中获得168071条与126232条组装转录本，其平均长度分别为607 bp和865 bp，并通过多类数据库对上述转录本进行了功能注释。
