The two naturally hybridizing collared flycatcher and pied flycatcher are important avian speciation models that show a combination of ecological differentiation and pre- and post-zygotic isolation at an early stage of divergence. We sequenced and assembled the flycatcher genome, and then re-sequenced population samples of each species.

两种可天然杂交的领姬鹟(collared flycatcher)与斑姬鹟(pied flycatcher)是鸟类物种形成研究的重要模型类群,二者在物种分化早期同时呈现出生态分化以及合子前、合子后生殖隔离的组合特征。本研究对姬鹟基因组进行了测序与组装,并对两个物种的种群样本分别开展了重测序工作。
