E-commerce as share of total apparel sales in France 2018-2025

In France, online apparel sales grew considerably as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. In 2020, e-commerce accounted for 26 percent of all apparel sales, seven percentage points more than the previous year. While a slight decline was expected in 2021, as the country adapted to the new normal, forecasts indicate that the online segment has come to stay and will continue to grow in the coming years.
