A cross-sectional analysis of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation treatments on YouTube

In this study, we aimed to evaluate the content, quality, and accuracy of the most viewed YouTube videos related to PIH treatment using the Dy et al. Accuracy Scale (DAS), Accuracy in Digital-Health Instrument (ANDI), and the Global Quality Scale (GQS). The data below shows the number and % of each DAS, ANDI, and GQS score sorted by healthcare and non-healthcare sources. We found that PIH treatment videos on YouTube produced by non-healthcare sources were less accurate and of lower quality, but received significantly more views than those produced by healthcare sources.

本研究旨在采用Dy等人开发的准确性量表（Accuracy Scale, DAS）、数字健康准确性工具（Accuracy in Digital-Health Instrument, ANDI）以及全球质量量表（Global Quality Scale, GQS），对与妊娠高血压（Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension, PIH）治疗相关的浏览量最高的YouTube视频的内容、质量与准确性展开评估。下述数据展示了按医疗健康来源与非医疗健康来源分类的各DAS、ANDI及GQS得分的数量与占比。研究结果表明，非医疗健康来源发布的YouTube平台PIH治疗相关视频，其准确性与质量均低于医疗健康来源发布的同类视频，但获得的浏览量显著更高。
