Tourist stress is a common type of stress in zoos that impacts the health of captive wildlife. To reveal the effects of visitor numbers on the health of zoo animals, this study focused on giant pandas to analyze the impact of zoo visitor numbers on the cortisol hormone levels, microbiota, and metabolite composition in panda feces, thereby shedding light on the physiological effects of tourist stress on giant pandas.

游客应激是动物园中常见的应激类型，会影响圈养野生动物的健康。为揭示游客数量对动物园动物健康的影响，本研究以大熊猫为研究对象，分析动物园游客数量对大熊猫粪便中皮质醇（cortisol）激素水平、微生物群（microbiota）及代谢物组成的影响，进而阐明游客应激对大熊猫的生理效应。
